The mission of the Proud Dragon Parents organization is to create a post-graduation, chemical-free, safe and entertaining celebration for graduating seniors and their guests.  The celebration is Project Graduation. Proud Dragon Parents functions as an advisory and implementation group for the express purpose of supporting activities to organize, host and pay for Project Graduation.

Round Rock High School is one of many schools in Texas and across the nation where parents and students work together to plan and organize chemical free Project Graduation celebrations.  This program originated in Maine in response to the deaths of 12 teenagers in alcohol-related wrecks on graduation night.

Round Rock High School Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol-free and chemical-free celebration filled with food, activities, music, prizes, and entertainment.   The event is held on graduation night.

Proud Dragon Parents is the non-profit 501 (c) (3) that organizes RRHS Project Graduation.  Our budget for Project Graduation has been over $40,000 in past years.  We need gift certificates, prizes, food and monetary donations for over 400 seniors.  We receive support from parents and hold numerous fundraisers.  But, we also receive tremendous support fom businesses.

The event requires volunteers, more volunteers, fund raising, facility selection/management, security, communication, parent donations, business donations, decorations, storage of props/prizes, entertainment, prize management, food/refreshments, chaperones, set up and tear down.
